Virginia Tech's Lumenhaus

Sustainable House Wows World

World-Class Props for Virginia Tech Student Project that Gets Tons of Attention (Deservedly So)

There's one thing that Virginia Tech is especially known for, and that's the great fall foliage... no, seriously, it's the architecture and engineering programs. Tech has some world-class chops when it comes to building things -- houses and stuff. So it's no surprise that its Solar Decathlon entry is a world-class PR production for the University. Year after year, Lumenhause gets praises and props the world over for its inspiring design and technology. Magazines, TV, social networks.... you name it, it's tweeted, liked and blogged (ehem).

And this year's Lumenhaus entry is no exception. It's a tour de force of cool gadgetry and design. So as the Lumenhaus world tour winds down in Blacksburg, I dropped by for a quick afternoon sketch. Kudos team Lumenhaus!

And the Lumenhaus website is equally impressive, thanks to the handy work of local web design shop, Modea. Check it out over at lumenhaus.com.

And check out the Lumenhaus before it's dismantled to start on next year's entry.
