I reunited with some old friends several weeks ago for some good times in Knoxville. Music, food, fun... it was a blast and I always love visiting the hometown of the University of Tennessee. I lived there for a couple of years and it's always fun to go back.

While there, I took some time to sketch at a couple of landmarks. Iconic parts of Knoxville... one of which, The Sunsphere, has appeared in a Simpsons episode. It was the showcase structure of the 1982 World's Fair and up until recently, people couldn't inside. Luckily, it's open for business and I had a chance to sketch from above. Yeh!

I also sketched the Market Square area of downtown, which has an awesome farmer's market on Saturdays.

Here's the view you'll see form the Sun Sphere observation deck. The interior is much improved... don't know when this video was shot, but it's not quite like that now.
